Why Hello There!

Hello and welcome to my blog! Let me start off by introducing myself; my name’s Steven and I’m from bonnie Scotland! I’m currently studying Web Development at College and I’ll hopefully be going to university near the end of the year to complete my studies!

On this blog you will be able to find posts about me and my life. I have also decided to showcase some of my photos. I have recently got into photography - I really enjoy it! So look out for some new photos!

So how’s college going? College is going well. This year is a lot more technical than last year, I’m learning: SQL, JavaScript, PHP and a few other bits and pieces thrown in. I love it! I’ve been wanting to learn PHP for a while now and I’m getting to know the basics. I’m starting to write my own scripts now, well… my first script. It’s a basic guest book script to get me used to the basics, but we all have to start somewhere - right? SQL on the other hand, is a pain in the arse; right joins here, left joins here… I just find it difficult to get to grips with. Once I get used to it, I’m sure it’ll not be to difficult.

I’ve got my self a part-time job working in ASDA! I work on checkouts and it’s actually pretty good. I meet lots of new people everyday and it’s really help to boost my confidence! It’s only a Saturday for now, but hopefully the hours will increase a little in the summer.

I also just bought myself a new Dell laptop which I’m loving at the moment. It’s faster than the desktop I was using and I prefer using it as well. It’s the first machine I’ve had with Vista, and so far, I’m impressed.
